Gulia Groenke is an artist whose works hover between two worlds – that of Berlin and Dallas, which fuel her creative energy and shape her international work. With Russian roots and a deep passion for expression and emotion, she creates art that goes far beyond the visible. She combines intense emotions, personal experiences and social issues to create visual experiences that challenge and move the viewer.

Her works are more than works of art – they are windows into the soul that raise questions about human existence, cultural identity and the interfaces between tradition and modernity.

Groenke plays with textures, layers and colors to create multi-layered, dynamic works that are both conceptual and intuitive. Her travels, her roots and her experiences flow into each of her works and give them a depth that you can not only see, but also feel.

Gulia Groenke’s current exhibition “Minus 10”, presented by the Redbud Artcenter from Houston, captivates visitors to the historic Kant-Garagen Palast in Berlin. The exhibition is an invitation to engage with the unknown and surrender to the interplay of cold and warmth, distance and closeness.

Her art is a reminder that there is still so much to discover – both in the world and within ourselves.
