Olli Boehm

Fine Art Photography & Cinematic Mixed Media

Olli Boehm – Photographer © Olli Boehm

Olli Böhm (born 1967) began his artistic career early: at 16 he held his first solo exhibition in Wiesbaden, and a year later he received the Cologne Art Prize as Best Emerging Artist.
After completing his Fachabitur, he studied photography in Paris and Frankfurt and then pursued a career in the creative and advertising world—from graphic designer to Executive Creative Director, later working as a commercial film director with international awards and nominations.

In 2008, an MS diagnosis fundamentally changed his life—and led him back to what had originally driven him: art as an honest form of expression. Today, Olli Böhm tells emotional stories through photography, overpainted works, painting, and text: quiet, cinematic, positively melancholic—and always with the intention of making the “soulful moment in a minor key” visible.

His method is hybrid art: fine art photography, digital editing, and manual overpainting condense into “layers of time.” Blur, chance, and ruptures are not mistakes, but stylistic devices—an invitation for the viewer to find their own memories, longings, and meanings within the works.
