And that is exactly why taking a conscious look at it is worthwhile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><strong>Typical limiting beliefs \u2014 and what they do to you<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many artists carry similar stories within them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cYou can\u2019t make money with art.\u201d<br\/>\u201cMoney corrupts art.\u201d<br\/>\u201cI\u2019m not far enough along yet to ask for real money.\u201d<br\/>\u201cIf I talk about money, I seem unartistic.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Such statements are rarely \u201cobjectively true.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>But they shape how you:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>think about your offerings,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>set your prices,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conduct negotiations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>respond to inquiries,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>see yourself in comparison to others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Some consequences:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You lower your prices again and again before anyone has even asked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You say yes to projects that drain you because you feel you <em>\u201cshould be grateful.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You keep postponing important steps (website, EPK, clear offerings) because deep down you don\u2019t yet believe that you\u2019re <em>\u201cready.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mindset, in this context, means:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">What stories do you tell yourself about who you are, your art, and money \u2014 and do they really serve you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Self-image as an artist: <em>\u201cAm I even good enough?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Almost all artists we work with know this sentence \u2014 even those who outwardly already appear \u201cestablished.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><em>\u201cActually, I\u2019m not good enough yet.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doubt is part of artistic work. It can be a driving force \u2014 or it can keep you permanently small. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A stable self-image does not mean that you always think highly of yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It means:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you know where your strengths lie,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you know your limits and your areas for growth,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can say: \u201cThis is what I can offer, this is where I\u2019m strong. And this is what I can\u2019t <em>(yet) <\/em>do or don\u2019t want to.\u201d <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From this clarity, decisions become easier:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>which projects you take on,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>which ones you decline,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how you set your prices,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how you present yourself outwardly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><strong>Money &amp; artistic integrity \u2014 not a contradiction<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A widespread inner conflict is:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><em>\u201cEither I remain artistically honest, or I adapt to the market.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In reality, it is often more nuanced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Both can exist at the same time:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Works that are very free, exploratory, and experimental,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and formats that are more closely aligned with commissioners, target audiences, or markets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The important question is:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Where <\/strong>do you need artistic radicality?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Where<\/strong> is it acceptable for you to offer more adapted or more clearly framed formats?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Which<\/strong> mix of the two sustains you artistically \u2014 and economically?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Money is not automatically \u201cthe problem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It becomes difficult when you:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>do things that feel internally wrong to you,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consistently override your own values,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>experience your art only as \u201cdeliverables.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A conscious relationship with money can, on the contrary, protect your integrity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>because you allow yourself to be well compensated,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>because it enables you to create<br\/>spaces in which you can truly work artistically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><strong>How inner mindset influences external decisions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A few examples of how inner attitudes and external behavior are connected:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you believe that \u201ceveryone else is more professional,\u201d you will automatically make yourself smaller in negotiations and presentations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you unconsciously think that \u201cmoney is dirty,\u201d you will avoid offers, pricing, and closing deals \u2014 even if you consciously wish for the opposite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are deeply anchored in the belief \u201cI am not allowed to fail,\u201d you will avoid bold steps (new programs, visibility, higher prices) \u2014 or sabotage yourself when things are going well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why it is rarely enough to work only on structure (website, systems, offerings) if the inner foundation is working against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both belong together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><strong>Failure, Comparison &amp; Success<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Art &amp; culture are fields in which comparison is constantly present:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who gets invited?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who receives funding?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who is represented in which venues, festivals, and galleries?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who \u201cworks\u201d on social media?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comparison is human, but it can paralyze you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A few other perspectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You usually see only the visible successes of others, rarely the years that came before, the breaks, or the detours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Success has many faces:<\/strong><br\/>artistic depth, stable relationships, economic sustainability, inner freedom<br\/>not all of it is visible from the outside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cFailure\u201d is normal in the artistic process:<\/strong><br\/>projects that develop differently than plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The decisive question is not:<\/strong><br\/><em>\u201cHow do I avoid mistakes?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>But rather:<\/strong><br\/><em>\u201cHow do I deal with them, and what do I learn from them for my system and my self-image?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:24px\"><strong>Inner stability through external structures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mindset work is not a replacement for systems, but systems can support your mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Examples:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When offerings, prices, and terms are clearly defined, you have to \u201cjustify yourself on the spot\u201d much less.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When bookings and payments run through a system like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/favoriflow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Favori Flow,<\/a><\/strong> you don\u2019t have to constantly worry about overlooking something.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you have a base level of visibility (website, profile, EPK), you don\u2019t have to \u201creinvent yourself\u201d with every inquiry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When your year is structured into rough cycles, each individual setback feels less existential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Structure is not the opposite of intuition.
